More green stuff

So the keynote speaker at the conference was Bill Clinton. I'd never seen him speak before, and it was certainly interesting to witness such an iconic public figure's personality translate through a massive room. Aside from doing "PR" work for Hillary right now, he's working with his foundation to help retrofit existing buildings to become more energy-efficient via partnerships with key corporations.

The keynote speaker at the 2002 conference was Dr. David Suzuki. He's a Canadian scientist (biologist) who's an international leader in the green movement and used to have a public TV documentary show. He spoke for about 2 hours at the 2002 conference and got a good 10 minute standing ovation. Brilliant and inspiring guy. If you haven't read his stuff and are interested, definitely check out his website. I've read "From Naked Ape to Superspecies" and highly recommend it.
